Piece for Piano
Concertante and orchestra
I have a good musician friend in Suffolk,
England who finds minimalism
a
"bore." What does a composer do when the sounds that crowd into the
mind begging to be manifested take on minimalistic forms? I have sworn
to myself that I will find a way to make this music passionate,
unexpected and interesting. Luckily, he and I have an ally in Rameau, who would
do anything so that his music-dramas did not bore his listeners!

Dance Music in the Celtic Shamanic Tradition - "Celtic Winds"
Working
with dancers who know, walk and dance from within their artistic and
shamanic/spiritual practice, the "Bridge between Heaven and Earth", is
a profound Spiritual Experience for me, as well as being amazing
musical and artistic, playful fun! The musicians are technically
gifted, versatile and a real pleasure to work with. Here I trade the
"authentic instruments" for a synthesizer - doing this gives such a
lift; I am the conduit for "wierd" sounds finding their place on Earth!

Music for a New Spirituality
One
of my ongoing projects. I find the new "politically correct" church to
be so devoid of depth, beauty, artistry, poetry, mystical expression,
etc., that the cry goes up in me "There must be a better
way!" Watch this space! |
